In this digital age we are in now, when almost everything is been computerized, there is need to get acquainted with registration process on the internet, in as much as every registration process are different, they all have one thing in common – step by step guide and/or instruction, once these are overlooked, there is bound to be error(s) and/or mistake(s). Of course you know that you cannot correct a mistake, but an error can be corrected.
Registration on the internet is not a daunting task as many people see it today, but it is something that has to be done with utmost carefulness, and diligently too. There are some online registrations that once a mistake is made after submission, it cannot be corrected, that’s why you have to be very careful and work by the instructions given.
When filling an online form, you must follow the instructions as stimulated at the commencement of the registration process.    Entering data in an online form must be with block letters (uppercase character), unless otherwise it is stated in the instruction to use upper and lower case character, as in the case of Jamb form (http://www.jamb.org.ng). Failure to adhere to the instructions, will always leads to problems along the line.
In some cases, there are some websites that have no instruction, but what is seen is a step by step direction. When you want to register on such a website, just follow the directions as you go on. There are also some websites that upgrades their database and changes their mode of operation. Do not say this is how I have been doing it, or the way the registration process has always been done, therefore you can’t work on it and you abandon the registration. No! Change has taken place and you must adapt to the change. Technology is growing day by day, you must grow with it. Same applies to other internet jobs. The key is following directions and adhering to the instructions. If you want to do registration on the internet and you don’t know the exact URL(website), what you have to do is Google it, i.e typing the name of the organization, company or institution, you will see the name and URL displaying on the Google search page. Note that there are some websites that are faked and are hosted by cyber criminals. It might look like what you are looking for, be very careful when searching for the appropriate site.

REASON WELL AND FAST ON THE INTERNET

When you are surfing the internet, like sending and checking mails, shopping, making payments, researching and most especially when filling an online form, one has to be fast in reasoning. What I meant is that, you have to get a clue of what is going to come out next or what you expect in the next page or stage of your work. For example, if you are registry online, and in the instruction you are expected to fill in your bio-data or profile first before proceeding to the next stage where you upload your passport photo or any other info. After you must have filled the bio-data and click on the proceed bottom or next, it didn’t take you to the next stage. What do you do then? You have to cross check if you have filled all the required or compulsory fields in the form, check your internet connectivity and also check if you adhere strictly to the instructions.
Again, reasoning well entails exploring different means or methods in resolving a problem that might have occurred when working online. This means that if option ‘A’ doesn’t work, try option ‘B’ and if ‘B’ doesn’t solve the problem try ‘C’, just as the saying, “to every problem there is a solution”. So don’t say there is nothing you can do to remedy the problem. Is just that you have not explore to get a solution. This is applicable to our daily life endeavours.

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE INTERNET

The internet is a world system of interconnected computer networks that uses the Standard Internet Protocol suite to link numerous computers. The internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web(www), the infrastructure that support emails and peer-to-peer networks for file sharing and telephoning.
Unlike online services which are centrally controlled, the internet is decentralized by design. Each internet computer called a host is independent. Its operators can choose which internet services to use and which local services to make available to the world internet community. No doubt, this anarchy of design works very well. There are various ways to access the internet. Most GSM network providers offer access to some internet services. One can also gain access to the internet via a commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP), like the City Network, Excessimo Networks, etc located in Owerri Imo State - Nigeria.
There is no person or group of persons that can boast of owning the internet or have total control of the system. The internet is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity; it relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks.

The Internet and the World Wide Web(www)
The internet and the World Wide Web or simply web, are not the same. Many people misuse these two terminologies. The internet is a massive network of networks. It connects millions of computers globally, forming a network in which any computer can interact with any other computer as long as they are both connected to the internet.
On the other hand, the World Wide Web(www) is a way of accessing information over the medium of the internet. It uses the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (http). The web is an information sharing model that is built on the internet. The web browser is used to surf the internet, which include internet explorer, Mozilla firefox, google chrom, opera, safari, avant, to mention but a few.

YOUR HEALTH COMES FIRST WHILE ON THE COMPUTER

Safeguarding your Health while Working on the Computer
It is important to think about your health while on the computer. Long hours on the computer can be rewarding, even fun. Using a computer involves a lot of repetitive motions such as typing, looking at the screen and using the mouse. Overtime, these motions can begin to take their toll on your body, such as aches and pains in your neck, shoulders, arms and hands. If you ignore these aches and continue working with improper work habits, you may develop painful and disabling injuries.
To overcome some of these aches, make sure your chair is designed in a way to support the lower back and promote good posture and that the chair is adjusted to allow you sit in a natural and comfortable position. Place the monitor at a comfortable distance. Report has it that the ideal position for a monitor is 20 to 40 inches away from your eyes, and it should be at eye level or slightly lower. Place the keyboard in a position that allows you to keep your wrists straight and relaxed to avoid wrist strain, or use a desk that has a keyboard tray that can accommodate the keyboard at a better height. Also, the mouse should not be far away from the keyboard. It may be uncomfortable to reach for when the mouse is too far away. Starring or focusing at a screen for a long time can cause eye strain. To avoid this, look away from the screen every once in a while. It is important to take breaks while working on the computer. Stand up and walk around to avoid sitting in the same position for long period of time. Avoid clustering the computer area with paper, computer accessories or other items, which might cause strain or injury to either you or the computer.
If you experience persistent or worsening discomfort while working on a computer, please immediately consult your physician. The earlier a problem is diagnosed and treated, the easier it is to take care of and the less chance of it going into a critical condition. Prevention is always much more better than cure"
